My Story: Looking for encouragement on my homepage

Hi there,
I'm back on MFP after being inconsistent for the past few years, here is my story:
I had always been "average" until senior year of high school, where I completely fell apart. I ended up gaining a significant amount of weight, and was later diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which contributed largely to my weight gain. For the next few years, I used it as an excuse and got up to 167lbs (I think.. or 157lbs. I never weighed myself regularly, since I was afraid of the scale). To put this into context, I'm only 5'2. Once my thyroid started to be more regular, I was more motivated to work out since I was already dropping weight. It also helped that I had started working as a server - which made even my work days extremely active. The lowest I got down to was 121, but as the years went on I slowly gained again. The heaviest I've been since then is 140, but have mostly floated around 130. My goal is to get down to 121 by christmas time. My dad is getting married in Jamaica. I weighed in this morning at 124.6. Every pound is a struggle for me. I'm tired of letting my thyroid take over my weight.
This time it's different. This time I'm not giving up. It's different because I have you guys. I just discovered the website and the forums (previous attempts, i've only used the app), and I'm here to make friends who are likeminded and can me, and vice versa.
Add me if you're also needing the extra encouragement on your homepage!

your goal is very attainable.. I am short, too. A little is a lot if it's in the wrong spot! I am always surprised when 7 lbs = a whole size difference ..0
