Getting myself back!

Hi from SoCal! 5 months ago I welcomed my b/g twins into the world. My pregnancy was just awful lol but I made it through and even dropped about 30lbs. I was so restricted because of my gestational diabetes that I admit I haven't been the most responsible nutrition-wise since their birth.

I've gained back about 20lbs and I want to get rid of that and keep on going! I want to keep track of my food, stop the grazing, and structure my diet again like when I was pregnant. I'm also exclusively breastfeeding which means I need to pay more attention to taking in lots of vitamins and calcium. I can't do any kind of diet where I cut a specific food group since my body needs a lot to continue to produce milk but I definitely can make better choices.

We walk about 1.5 miles roundtrip to drop my older daughter off at school or pick her up. I'm going to increase the distance now that the babies are more settled and less colicky. I'd like to join a gym when I have more time but right now any exercise I do has to include them.:p

I'm looking for friends and encouragement! I tend to fall off after a week or so of doing well so kicks to my patooty are greatly needed. People tell me I look great but I know I can look and feel better about myself! :)

So happy to be here!

Looks like you've got the right idea to start: healthier choices and encouragement. I've sent you a friend request.
  • Everyone can use a little motivation and support! I'm gonna friend you, and anyone can feel free to friend me, always looking for more support and motivation!
