Getting Full/Physically Ill from Eating a Decent Meal? Please Help?

Hello,
My name is Jen and I'm new to MFP & also new to a ''Healthier Weight Loss Journey''. I have only just come out of bad eating habits, such as eating an extremely low amount of calories and over exercising. I had been going through severe depression which lead me to act in this way.
I have been getting Psychological help, which has been helping.
Anyway, From eating so little to eating more food, I physically get ill after eating a relatively nutritious meal. Even Sandwiches make me feel like I have eaten a tonne of food. I also get a hard, sore stomach that just bloats like crazy which leads to severe constipation (TMI).
Any suggestions on how to feel normal again? I have gained a massive appetite back but my body physically can't handle the smallest amount of food & it's the festive season coming up!
Help!?!?!
Thank You in advance

Can you handle liquids better? You could try a small food and a protein shake with fruits and veggies blended in for nutritional value.

My friend went thru a depression and stopped eating. Had the same symptoms when I encouraged her to eat. The only thing she could stomach was liquids. So she started drinking shakes, chicken broth, or cream of chicken type soups. Maybe you could start trying that.0

Hi Jen! Try taking supplements for a probable nutrition deficit. It also maintains a balance hormonal level. That means it could aid your depression.0

Have you seen a GI doctor? It could be something like GERD or gastroparesis causing you to feel this way after eating.0

You should have a GI specialist consult with you. You may just be adjusting to a more nutritious diet, but people with disorders like Crohns, Colitis, and various other IBS conditions often have the symptoms you describe when they eat certain types or amounts of food. Only a medical professional can tell you for sure if it's the change in your diet or a medical condition.
And, YEAY, YOU for taking care of yourself! You are worth caring for in body and spirit! I'm proud of you for choosing to work on a healthier outlook.0 -
If you're in ED recovery, see if you have access to a nutritionist. They can help you understand what foods are likely to cause discomfort right now and how to get the right nutrition while you build back to more normalized eating. It will just take some time and perseverance to get to where you want to be. You can do this0
