    Why wouldn't it be? I can't think of more than a handful of days in the past year where I didn't have at least one :)

    Keep it within the calorie limit and all good! I love a cold beer or glass of wine at the end of the day!

    I'm not worried about gaining weight, since that's my goal, but I've read articles that alcohol actually slows down protein synthesis and thus, interferes with muscle growth. But I guess that's only if you're binge drinking?

    If you binge all the time, yea that's bad. A little alcohol is not going to harm anything.

    Having a beer a day and binge drinking are two different things. Having a beer a day is fine. Binge drinking everyday is not and will most likely affect your progress in several ways that would make protein synthesis and muscle growth a moot point.
