Example meals?

I have a lot of trouble getting to my calorie goal with macros met. Usually I'll be under goal, and some macros will be over, while others are under. How do you balance this? Does anyone have a link to an example day? I try to eat as healthy as possible with the choices I have, and even if I eat bigger portions, i still can't make all my calories. How do you keep fat under Max while meeting carbs and protein? Sorry for typos, mobile is making me type blind.

The short answer is "don't worry about it". Meet your calorie goals and as long as you are kinda in the ballpark on macros, it's all good.0

Takes practice, For the first month I just stayed under my cals, Then after I had that mastered I worked on hitting my Macros.0

It helps if you pre-log your meals. If you know what you're going to eat for the day, it makes fitting the missing pieces in a lot easier.0

What works for me is simply eating the same meal every day. 200 grams of ground beef in a tortilla wrap 4 times a day meets my both my calorie and macro goals.0

I just focus on being close to my fat goal (or a little over), under or right at my carb goal (which is pretty high anyway), and at or over my protein goal. I never hit them exactly, and it's not necessary to do so. I agree that pre-logging helps tremendously. I don't know how people just guess as they go along, because I'd be left with no calories left at the end of the day.
Calories above all for weight loss - as for macros, just get as close as you can. Practice makes perfect.0 -
If you really want to hit your marcos then you probably have to preplan your day. Put in what you will be eating and adjust according to what the numbers come out to be.
I only really care about my protein so I will prelog the majority of my food (usually my meals) to make sure it's around where I want to be. If it's not then I will have protein rich snacks and if it is already high enough then I'll have some fruit or candy as snacks.
Log and play around with it until you have your day planned so you are hitting your macros.0 -
Pre-Plan. My first few weeks I spent learning what the nutritional values of the foods I eat are focusing on staying under my calorie limits. Now I am watching my macro percentage as I build my meals for the day. Progress...NOT perfection!0
