so I HATE exercise but I love how it makes me feel after.
I weight 150lbs I cnat seem to lose any more weight but I am happy at that size for a 5ft7in girl I just want to tone. I have been doing 30ds level 2 and a bit of kick boxing at home I work out for 10 mins at a time because i get bored.
will it still work as I am not doing the whole video together?
I try to do 10mins of each in the morning
10 mins of each at lunch
10 mins of each at night
I will NEVER give up chocolate but I am trying to eat more healthy

I think you would do really well with the New Rules of Lifting routines, especially for the cardio intervals.0

I get bored unless I listen to podcasts or watch tv (Netflix on my phone is a godsend), which I alternate with some fast paced songs to get me to push my heart-rate up (or I do things like go as fast as I can for a couple minutes when they switch scenes or something.) I love to exercise, but if I didn't have something to occupy my mind while doing it I wouldn't be able to go more than 10 minutes or so either.0

I find workout dvds to be incredibly boring. Especially if it's the same program repeated a couple of times a werk, even if I'm playing each dvd only once a week. So I stopped doing that because I couldn't stick with it.
So, I downloaded the You Are Your Own Gym ap to my phone. I do the workout in my living room while watching tv. Because I'm paying attention to the tv, the workout is more tolerable.0 -
^^^ I have that app and love it too.0

Trying to keep doing something you hate is not a likely path to success.
Keep checking out the gyms in your area until you find some group exercise classes you really like and want to do on a regular basis.0 -
I hate workout dvds too, so I don't do them. I think you'd be better off finding something you really enjoy. Otherwise, you're either going to burn out ad quit, or you're just going to spend a large portion of your life doing something you hate. Try some different things out.0

I joined a boot camp class at my gym because it keeps me accountable and for that hour I'm totally focused on whatever exercise we're doing so I'm not staring at the clock. If I have someone telling me "ok, one minute of mountain climbers, then go flip that tire, now push ups" or whatever, then the time goes by without me noticing. That structure has gotten me way further with fitness than I was ever able to get to with dvds or setting up my own schedule.
Edited to add that the Nike Training Club app for iphones is really good for a boot camp kind of thing you can do on your own- it has a timer of its own so you can just go with it and do what it says. That thing is a lifesaver when I travel.0 -
Try different exercises and find some thing you feel you will stick to. To be honest, sometimes I still think I would rather sit on the couch then do my exercise. However, I really do feel better after exercising and am see results(weight loss, toning, etc...) so I won't give it up. I used to do long distance cycling and a lot of running. In fact, too much running and my knees protested and I had to give it up. I started Zumba classes January 2nd and absolutely loved them. Now, that I have lost the majority of the weight that I need to lose and increased my fitness level, I do a variety of classes at my gym. I also started strength training and spinning as well as kickboxing. Right now, I am out of town for two weeks and can't do classes. So, I'm doing exercise videos off of youtube. They are intense and definitely a good workout but not as fun as live classes:)0
