23 year old... 40lbs to lose

Hi everyone,

I am 23 year old male, weighing in at 18 stone at the moment, my target weight is 15 stone. How long do people suggest this would take me to get to my target weight? Also, any advice on my food diary would be appreciated!!

    whats your height?

    If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal

    You can still go for 2lb a week, but it depends on you accurately maintaining a deficit by eatling less and or moving more.

    Between 4-7 months depending on deficit, could be even longer.

    The top of the healthy BMI weight range for you is 13st 3lb. 15st would still be overweight FYI.

    You cna see its highly dependant on how deep your deficit will be and whether you are able to maintain it during the period. Weight loss isnt linear, so there may be a difference between what you think you should be losing to how much you actually lose. It should even out in the long run.
