New to weight lifting

Beginning weight lifter looking for like minded friends. I started weight lifting to build some strength, support fat loss and to support bone and joint health as I get older. I am also working towards becoming a runner again.

Hey Doc! Feel free to add me. I am in a similar situation. I am 49 and looking to lose about 30 lbs and build strength. I just got a complete weight set and bench two weeks ago -mapped out my 5x5 program and have been starting from scratch - lower weight lifts and will add as I increase strength and confidence. I'm always looking for tips while I'm looking for my abs.0
