Will a little cardio during holidays really effect muscle loss?

I generally don't do much cardio as I am still wanting to build lean mass and my lifting workouts can get pretty intense and I include 1 plyo/HIIT workout per week. Still holding onto the hope of competing again (figure) so I have been able to maintain with some increase in lean mass.

I have decided to add just a little more cardio, 2-3 times a week during the holidays. My will power is not as good but not terrible so I will have a cookie (gasp!) every once in a while. My cardio consists of 20 minute intervals on the stair climber or a sprint interval for 2 miles or 20 minutes, either outside run or treadmill.

I still eat pretty clean, especially during the week since work helps regulate my time, get a little wonky on the weekends. Occasionally have a glass of wine or (as clean as it comes) take out.

Anyone think this will really effect the ability to obtain or build lean mass? Any bro-scientists out there?

So perhaps 600-800 calories worth of effort per week...

    I think you'll be safe

Well since you aren't training for a marathon while on a low protein, calorie deficit diet and not lifting weights, you are not likely to have any problems.

You're only going to lose significant muscle if you're on a significant extreme deficit.
