I found a quote I want to share with everyone:
When people say they want to lose weight they often mean 'I want to be loved. I want to be seen. I want liberation from fear and self-loathing.' Weight loss culture will never give us those things because it is founded fear/hate based systems like sexism, racism, classism, and ableism.

I want to get healthy with that in mind. Losing weight is probably part of the picture, but I really want to stay focused on the idea that this is about getting healthier, not losing weight. I'm fortunate enough to have (most of) an education in health, so I know how to make smart choices about what I eat. Lately, I haven't been making smart choices. I'm here to change that.

I'm looking for friends who agree with me, or are willing to expand their thoughts to believe:
  1. Diet culture does a lot more harm than it does good
  2. People at any weight can be healthy and look good
  3. You don't need to lose weight for your wedding or anything else
  4. Discrimination based on one's weight is always uncalled for
  5. Any partner who says they won't love you unless you lose weight is a jerk and you should probably leave them Christ
  6. YOU CAN LOOK HOT FAT. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE SKINNY TO BE HOT.

Anyway! Hi friends.
