How would you log these?

Im going to make quesadillas for dinner tonight. We had several bell peppers (yellow, orange, red, and green) and we diced and froze them because we knew we wouldnt use them before they went bad. now IDK how to log them. the database says 1/8 of a cup is.... XXXCalories or 100g is XXXXcalories. i swear im not going to pick and sort each color just to weigh it.
is there a generic "go to" estimate to use?

I would log them all as one type by weight. You should probably pick a red, yellow, or orange bell pepper entry since those are slightly more calories. USDA says that yellow bell peppers are 27 cals per 100g.0

The differences in Calories per 100g are green (20), red (26), and yellow (27). I would choose to log it as one entry using the yellow peppers, if you are mostly interested in counting Calories and yellow have the most of the three. Search for "Peppers - sweet, raw" to get the three different non-asterisked choices to compare.0

Yeah... go with the higher calorie count... it's better to over-estimate the calories than under estimating. :flowerforyou:0 -

If you check under " bell peppers " there are several items like " peppers. red, yellow, orange and green " in the date base. That is what I use.

Just pick one! 7 calories isn't going to make a huge difference. Whenever I am looking up something "generic" I pick a mid-ranged calorie item to log it as. Seems to be working fine for me.
On another note....can I come over for dinner? Quesadillas sounds yummy right about now0
