Tabata Calorie Burn

Thus far, I've been pretty successful at simply tracking calories and exercise. Calories in, calories out.

I've been participating in a Tabata bootcamp and have been logging the workout time as "Aerobics". I keep a pretty steady high protein/veggies/fruit diet on a day to day basis and usually eat around 1,200-1,400 calories in order to drop pounds. I've maintained the same diet but am constantly hungry since beginning the bootcamp. I'm pretty certain I burn more calories than MFP indicates when I select "Aerobics" as the activity , but it's been discouraging to see that I will maintain or gain weight at the end of the days calculation. I know it's not all about the number, and I do feel like I'm challenging my body (which I love), but I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of an effective (online) way to track Tabata calorie burn?

Sorry folks, no smart phone for this girl, no apps. I'd consider investing in a FitBit or something similar.

Suggestions? Or Tabata experiences to share?

TRUE Tabata protocol is only 4 minutes. Anything else is a knock off HIIT system.
If one did true Tabata, I've only seen about 150 calories burned in 4 minutes.
As for HIIT training for an hour, depending on height, weight and intensity, the numbers are usually from 450 to 1000 calories. Burning 1000 calories takes some serious hard core intensity, so if you're not mopping the floor on every circuit, then chances are you're only using 75%-80% effort.
