I'll be your buddy, but 5:2 fasting does not seem like a good idea

5:2 is great for some people. I naturally cycle my days if I'm listening to my body and it all comes up even at the end of the week - 2 6-700 calorie days and the rest somewhere between 1200 and 1700. I don't "officially" 5:2 but I'll be your buddy if you want. Nothing wrong with listening to your body's real hunger cues.

I know this is late, but I can be your buddy if you want. My husband and I are doing 5: 2. I've I'd the reasons we like it is there is some sound research showing lots of health benefits, not just weight loss. My husband's mum has Alzheimer's, so we are particularly interested in some indications it may help stave off memory problems. I'm really in it for the weight loss myself though, and want to stick with it long term.
