I am 32 and im fed up with all my clothes not fitting and not feeling the best i can. I am 265 right now and my goal is to lose 100 lbs in as long as it takes and to compete and finish a spartan trifecta. I just joined the gym and today is the first day i filled out my diary and wrote down everything I ate. I am hoping that from reading what others have experienced and by meeting friends I will get to that goal. So my first goal is to try and see what others have found works for them.

Welcome! When I started my goal was to lose 100 (I'm getting close to 90) and I also have made activity goals (ultimately to do a half ironman) part of it. I've found that a lot more motivating for me than just focusing on the scale, because you keep the overall fitness goal in mind and can always find something to push at if the scale is being frustrating.
Seems like you are off to a good start. The diary has worked really well for me--it forces you to be mindful and provides clues if you are ever struggling.0 -
Looks like a good start! Welcome!0
