Has anyone tried this app? If so, how did you like it, if at all. would it work for a newbie who is still in the walking phase?

I have been using it for 2 months and it motivates me go out running so I can build up my base town. I use it along with Runkeeper though, because I while I like the fun nature of zombies, I also like the detailed stats provided by Runkeeper.0

Love it! For a newbie I'd suggest the Zombies 5K app. I used it when I was getting back into running after several months off earlier this year. I already owned the regular app prior to then. I then started re-using the regular app after I finished with the 5K app and I'm almost through season 1. I'm at the point where I need to decide if I'm going to plunk down more money for seasons 2 and 3 and I know I'm going to end up doing it. It's just too much fun not to.0

There is an app by the same people, that is designed for walkers. It's called The Walk. I wish I could say it's terrific. It's a little dull but for the price, it's ok.0

I really love the app, it makes running much more fun for me! But you don't have to run to use it, you can walk and move along in the story and achievements just the same. Use the settings to turn off the "zombie chase" option, and you're good to go!0

I am going to start week 6 of the 5k app later today, and am having a blast doing it! I use it in conjunction with MapMyFitness, for some of the additional stats the second app gives me. I am already planning on buying the regular app once I finish the 5k trainer.
If anyone wants to add me to the people they follow on the app, my screen name over there is epido!0 -
Love it. I have been using it for 2 years now (started with the c25k one) worth every penny.0

I'd been watching it since it was a kickstarter, but my phone wasn't smart enough to run the app. I bought a new phone specifically so that I could run this one. It's the only paid app I own. And you have no idea how much work it was to wade through the technical specifications of phones to find a full qwerty keyboard and a system that was upgradeable to Android 4.0 and would be compatible with Cricket's wireless service. I can't imagine any other fitness app that I would spend over $200 to use. Not to worry, though - it will probably already run on your phone just fine. I tend to run just on the razor's edge of obsolete tech gear.0

Sounds like this could be fun. I begin outdoor running this weekend. Maybe tomorrow evening if weather is good enough...0
