Hi everyone. I wonder if anyone else out there is a stair runner. I am looking for a calculation that takes into account the running down portion of the workout, for example, I run a 9 story building 9 times, for a total of 81 city stories, about 1500 steps. Up and down it takes me about 59 minutes with some periodic stretch breaks, I estimate actual 44-50 minutes of work. There are no calculations that consider the down portion. Does anyone know the ratio of caloric expenditure of down versus up, for example: 1/3 the energy or so on? I would like to log it in. the closest thing i can find is a step workout. thanks.

I would suggest wearing a heart rate monitor to get an idea of the calories you are burning.0
