with the holliday season in full swing and many of us spending time shopping in malls, what are your go to food court picks?

I would generally bring my own food if I knew I was going to be in the mall all day (yay purses), but if caught without, I would get a veggie delight sub at Subway. I like the flatbread, and if you ask they'll toast some of the vegetables with oregano, which is super yummy.0

Subway usually. But sometimes mama just wants the sesame chicken from the questionable Chinese food joint.0

Look up the calories beforehand.0

Usually subway for me too, or I'll go to starbucks and get a bento box or a parfait and random fruit cups0
-
I would go with Subway also.0

The mall is for shopping, not eating. Except Auntie Anne's pretzels. And Cinnabon.0

Online shopping, for the win!0

Mmm the pretzels.

Subway or chick-fil-a. Probably chick-fil-a because I'm likely going to have to share with my toddler, and the nuggets are an easy food to give her. But realistically, I never spend more than 2 hours at the mall, so I'd probably just eat before or after the visit.0

The pretzels are my fave!

Saladworks - they are a little high priced for a salad, but I can control exactly what goes in it.0

Ugh, my mall is "too posh" for a food court, but we do have sit down restaurants. PF Chang's all the way!!!0

Panera salad or Chickfila sandwich (no fries).0

^^this.
eat ahead of time- or plan to eat at home.
The only thing I'll eat at a mall is pretty much Sarku (sp) chicken.
But if I don't want to eat mall food- then I don't eat mall food. Unless you're spending over 4 hours a at mall- just plan to eat at another time before or after.
Or work it in to your calorie counts for the day.

our mall has a fast food Japanese hibatchi and I get chicken no rice and extra veggies

We have ruby tuesday at the mall here. I go to the mall just to eat there. Good food!0
-
That's gross. I'd rather starve than eat in a mall food court.0
-
Panda Express - mixed veggie side is 80 calories, then choose one of their lower calorie main dishes... YUM!0

The people who make smoothies will usually sell me a cup of fruit. It's not that great, though.
We have restaurants attached to the mall, so a salad isn't hard to come by. It's difficult to eat in the Cheesecake Factory and not indulge.
I do most of my shopping online, though, so it's not like the old days, when I'd spend two full days at the mall, shopping for Christmas presents. I'm in and out within hours and don't need to eat there.0 -
i go to my mall every two weeks for two of the most glorious slices of pepperoni pizza on the planet (or in my neck of the woods)0

Panda Express or other chinese joints will sometimes give you mixed veggies instead of rice or noodles. Add on one or two non-fried entrees and you're good to go.
Other ideas are Nando's, teriyaki, or Indian with no rice.
But yeah, if we had chik fil a here I would totally eat that.

The delicious stuff I can't get anywhere else. Otherwise you can always get a McDonald's cheeseburger or something. They're not too bad.0

I don't know about the malls around you, but food courts at malls around here aren't that bad... There's usually a Subway, Quizno's, or a few sit down places like Ruby Tuesday's or Chili's. And there's usually some stand alone restaurants on the property really close to the mall.0 -
I haven't eaten at one in ages, but I used to like Nature's Table
But I prefer the Mexican place across the street.0 -
Ohhh forgot to mention Chipotle!0
-
^^ dude i'd be all over chipotle if it was at my local mall.
if you're trying to be good, i would go with something like a sandwich place or chick fil a. or any other fast food joint for that matter. 9 times out of 10, they have nutrition info online readily available and you can gauge from there.0
