    Only a spurious correlation. Interestingly enough, most correlations made within the MFP community are also spurious in nature...I believe this further validates my theory.

    I feel a dry tone can camouflage many a humorous statement. Compliance officer who must enforce non-compete will be unsure if you are intentionally funny - or just awkward.

    I think you get bonus points if you cause awkwardness and additional funnies.

    Maybe we should all start using fonts to imply tone in posts... Like Comic Sans for the happy, sunshine-y posts, Chiller for snark,... I'm at a loss for which font should imply sarcasm though...
