%/week long run?

I've heard a lot of different ideas people follow for what percentage of their weekly running should be "long run(s)," and during the Spring Summer and Fall when I am more run-focused I am usually within or close to those recommendations.

Right now, though, it's Swim season for me. I get out to run about 2x/week, and mostly feel like doing long runs at low or medium intensity. I will tend to go about 5-8 miles, 50-90 minutes, sometimes with a few recovery/walking breaks thrown in.

For whatever reason, I really love Winter trail running. Maybe its just green space starvation.

So, not really by plan, my Winter running tends to be longer, slower, and less paved.

Is there any reason for me to change this, or just go with what's working and feeling good?

If it's working, then I definitely wouldn't change it.

Also, keep in mind that trail running is generally slower than paved running... so the effort may still be there even if the pace isn't.
