Need to be less rigid

So I have had problems in the past where I start a weight loss or fitness journey and I get obsessive about it to the point where I won't treat myself at all. The control aspect of losing fat is really tempting for me. I feel like this is happening again and I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem? Do you have any tips on easing up on my strictness?
