I have been watching a show entitled, " Yogi Cameron- The Guru". He is entertaining, plus I appreciate his simplistic approach to eating, and cooking. I also have been reading a book entitled, "The One Bowl" method of eating. His ideas about eating simply, and listening to how your body accepts the food, parallels with the book. Sometimes we get so caught up with food combinations that each food doesn't stand on its own or loses its individual unique tastes altogether. Yogi uses natural herbs and oils to keep himself healthy. I use olive oils to cook with, sesame oil to bathe (along with Dr Bonners Peppermint liquid soap). I try not to strip my skin of oils that benefit me. I also don't shampoo my hair every day. We are a society of beauty product freaks, and its nice to pare down and maintain myself simply. Any ideas and comments on what I have typed?

Sorry, but there are only certain kinds of food I'd eat in the same bowl!

I don't understand bathing with oil? Do you wipe it all over first and then use the soap or use it instead? Do you do it to save detergents running down the drain or does it remove impurities like oil pulling is alleged to do?

I've never heard of this and I'm curious.

The One Bowl method actually discourages making repeat trips to the kitchen. When you are lets saying having Chicken/peas/salad/a roll ....going in and making your bowl of each darn thing is time consuming and you tend to just eat one thing...wait and eat the other stuff at a later time. In essance, you make each meal a snack, and each snack a meal. It's letting each flavor stand on its own, and appreciating its own distinct qualities. Plus if one item upsets your stomach, or you just don't process it well, you can find out which item it is. :-)

My bathing choice is to use the oil after, when my skin is still warm and my pores are open. :-)
