What to expect when changing weekly weight loss goal

Hi all :) just hoping for a little advice. I changed my weight loss goal from 2lbs/week to 1.5lbs/week as the calories were dropping quite low before exercise and to be honest it was starting to make me feel a bit of dread trying to work my day around it so it made sense to slow down a little and keep enjoying my days.

My question is, having bumped up by 250 calories a day, can I expect an initial stall/gain while my body gets used to extra calories (I do also eat up to 50% of my exercise cals)? Or should it theoretically just keep on going as usual, just slightly slower? I weigh daily although log weekly as I find it useful to understand how my body takes certain foods (high sodium was a shock - although an obvious one I suppose) and to see the overall trend. I'm likely to change to 1lb/week in a month or so as well - I'm not in a rush to shift this weight! - so this will be good to know for then as well :)

Some stats if useful: 5'6, SW approx 210lbs, CW 179.5lbs, GW 133-140lbs

Thanks in advance

Great job on your loss! 250 calories should make almost no difference, so you should experience normal daily fluctuation.

Do you mean you use recall for a weeks worth of consumption, then record it? Generally that doesn't work too well.

I think she means logging her weight on MFP once a week as opposed to every day. I do the same thing.

OP, good luck with the change! I'm about to the point where I need to go from 1.5 pound deficit (which I've been on for a year) to 1 pound.

Ah yes sorry, I weigh myself daily but only record on mfp once a week. I have a daily tracker app to see my daily fluctuations. Thanks everyone!
