How much cardio

Ok so im 10 pounds away from my goAl weight n been fluxuating between 228-232 ido strength training and 20-30 mins of cardio six days a week i switch it up alot n still cant get past it i upped my cals n still nothing how much cardio should i do more or is what im doing enough? I hate cRdio by the way lol but i still do it n i do it everyday no slackin off i juss started doin hiit this week

I'm no expert, but I believe it's not so much the number of minutes, but doing whatever it takes to get you heart rate up to around 60% of maximum for you age (you can find a formula on line for max) and keeping it there for about 30 minutes. If you don't like the math, I have a friend who is a personal trainer who says you're in the fat burn zone when you exercise hard enough that you're a bit winded but can still carry on a conversation.comfortably.
One of the problems is that once you start getting in shape it's harder to raise your heart rate so you stop burning fat. In other words, the more you exercise, the more you need to exercise. One final thought...a read that muscle is heavier than fat so once you start getting fit you may find it harder to lose weight because you're replacing fat with muscle. You should go by how tight you need to make your belt, not by what the scale is saying.0 -
do 20 mins HIITS on a treadmill 4 times per week - so 30-45 second flat out sprint, 45-60 seconds walking on incline of 13%, rinse and repeat for the 20 mins. Thats all the cardio you need to do.0

Right now i sprint for one min and jog for 2 mins and repeat it for 15 mins ill start doing it for 20 tomo0
