Best Workout for me?

Hi all! I have free access to our gym at work and want to start working out. We have an elliptical, a treadmill, free weights and a weight machine that I can use. I am looking to lose about 60-70 lbs and most of that is in my mid section and butt and hips. I also want to tone my arms. Any suggestions on a good routine for me?

Honestly, this is a pretty loaded question. With no knowledge of your overall fitness level and experience in the gym, it's impossible to provide suggestions that will be accurate for where you are at.
Even then, there is a lot of personal preference that goes into it, especially in terms of how much cardio vs. strength training to do.
For instance, I alternate between jogging and using my at home elliptical for 35-45 minutes for 5-6 days per week. I also use combination cardio/strength training videos, like Biggest Loser or Jillian Michaels 3-5 days per week.
You may want to consider hiring a personal trainer for a few sessions to access your fitness level and to teach you good exercises and proper form, especially if you do not have a background in using free weights and want to use them.0 -
