Hi everyone!
I do so well at meals, but I completely blow it with snacks. I need suggestions. I'll eat anything but fruit.

I love fruit, yogurt or cottage cheese as a snack. You don't like any fruit? I love grapes or raspberries. only 1 calorie each so I can eat a bunch of them and feel like I am snacking without much calories. When I feel like something sweet I've been having a sugar free chocolate pudding cup. I guess it would just be on your tastes though. Whatever you ate before but a smaller portion?0

hummus and veggies....great snack, though hummus can have a lot of calories so you have to be careful. But it is a satisfying snack!0

popcorn is a great snack too and fairly low calorie and yet has decent nutrition0

Beef Jerky (low cal/ high protein) is my usual go to. Quest bars, fruits and veggies with some PB2. snacks high in protein can usually make a person feel fuller throughout the day.0

I have a massive amount of snacks in my pantry as this is where I really stuff up. Try Weight Watchers slices. Carrot cake, lemon, choco. Expensive but really low joule. nuts, nuts, nuts. But not too many. Get ones in shell like pistacios... it slows down the eating. Rice crackers. I have low fat chocolate mousse here. 200 kjs... yeah. Popcorn. Pop plain microwave ones but put salt on it. Dried apricots or dried things. We have apricots with coconut in it. yummo. Keep an eye out for low fat yogurts. Low fat milk with quik (choco powder). Tea, Cup a soups. Find a fruit that you like. im into bananas and water melon. Dip and veggies. Check all the calories in your snacks.

protein snack bars
carrots (or other veggies) and hummus
laughing cow on crackers or a bagel thin
Greek yogurt0 -
I like oatmeal with truvia and sugar free jelly when I want something sweet. High fiber bars when I'm somewhere I can't cook. 100 calorie pack popcorn when I want something salty/crunchy. Non-fat vanilla yogurt when I don't feel like having oatmeal. I should say the main meal I eat is breakfast and after that I only eat what most people would consider snacks - don't care much for cooking.0

An option than can work (though it doesn't for everyone) is not to snack.
No, don't flip out. If you find you do well at meals, maybe you could make meals "eating time" and be done with it.
Some people don't do well with that, of course, but it's a thought.0 -
I've gotten into a habit of mixing plain, nonfat greek yogurt with other stuff to make dips and spreads to help squeeze in more protein while reducing calories. For instance, when I want something salty and crunchy, I mix a couple tablespoons of hummus with a couple tablespoons of yogurt, then stir in a bit of hot sauce, and use this as a dip for bell peppers, cucumbers, and carrots. I also like to mix yogurt with a bit of maple syrup and peanut butter, then spread it on a caramel rice cake when I'm craving dessert.0

Pop chips ( I LOVE these). Also, Nuts & dark chocolate are good for you. Or you can put some kale in the oven & make your own kale chips0
-
greek yoghurt (there's something called low fat quark in the EU i don't know if you have it in the US) with whey protein. if you don't like the consistency mix a serving of corn flakes in it.
salad
chicken/prawns with veggies/rice or simply veggies.

I'm working on the habit of drinking 8-16oz of fluid (usually tea) if I'm hungry between meals. I've never been a big drinker to begin with, so remembering that dehydration can sometimes be interpreted as hunger has done a lot to limit my snacks.0

My favorites:
Air popped popcorn
Carrots
Greek yogurt
Cheese
Dark chocolate (a small amount provides a good source of fat)
Flavored sparkling water (not really a snack but helps keep me full)
Beef/turkey jerky

funny you say that because I'm the same way! i have been forcing myself to drink a bottle of water before breakfast, and that has helped!0 -
This is why I get the Low Cal Snack Box from graze.com! Failing that I like the Laughing Cow cheese + breadsticks packs (80 cals!); yoghurt; toast + PB2; string cheese; popcorn.0

brown rice cakes with almond butter and sliced banana on top sprinkled with cinnamon is really good for a snack.0

Yep popcorn is actually an awesome snack. I have some little bags here that actually make me feel like I have eaten something that amount to 50kcals a pop. They taste great and also contain a little fibre which is a bonus.
Other great snack ideas that I tend to enjoy are beef jerky, muesli bars or some plain boring (but still yummy) cookies. Depends on how many cals you can have for snacks but I am surprised how few cals these sorts of snacks have without making you feel like you are actually being healthy.

Some might say I'm to organized but once a week I take the time to package up pretzels, crackers and rice cakes etc into serving sizes bags and I write the calories on each for when I have to quick grab a snack and I know what to enter in my food log.0
