Chips & Dip Alternative

Last night I was thinking about making some fresh guac to eat with corn tortilla chips, but took that idea to another level. Decided to instead cut up a whole fresh red bell pepper and eat it with 2% cottage cheese. Like a sad chips and dip lol. Except high protein and far fewer carbs and calories

I have used peppers as my "chips" before, but I used salsa to dip it in. I LOVE salsa, and it is really low cal, but can really do damage if I eat it all day with regular chips. I'll have to try the cottage cheese!!0

What about using hummus and veggies?I have a tendency to use PB2 and wheat thins0

The peppers are so crunchy too. Definitely a great snack for sure esp to take to work!-1

LMFAO! Love you, Kyle0 -
Try blending up cottage cheese with chives, that works really well, it's basically just a cheese and chive dip!0

Chopped/sliced veggies and salsa is usually my go to.0

plain greek yogurt mixed with either soup, veggie or ranch dip mix served with sliced cucumbers and red peppers.....fantastic!0

for me, there is no substitute for corn chips and guac. I'm from New Mexico...such a substitution would be sacrilege.0

I"m kind of in this camp.
I don't mind eating things INSTEAD of chips and salsa- but I'm not subbing out chips and salsa- it just- it doesn't work for me.0 -
ha! I love chips. I have convinced myself that salad is healthy nachos. also slice all kinds of veggies and dip in anything. cottage cheese is nice but and full of protein. hummus, white bean dips, salsa of all kinds. once I pureed some carrots and used carrots to dip.0
