If there is any history buffs on MFP, I have posted some pictures of a church that was built back in 1815. You can see the finger prints of the slaves that built it. I was there today and it is very humbling. If you look at them I need to explain some of them. The two pictures that look like stains are the finger prints. One picture was taken from the balcony. You will see a side picture with three pilons attached. A hurricane came through (not sure when), and knocked it slightly off it's foundation and it was leaning. A company came in and pulled the church upright and placed the pilons with 1 1/2 metal rods straight through to the facing wall. The church has no electricity or running water. It is heated by a small gas heater. The last picture is a men and womens bathroom that came several years later. It has running water and electricity. Hope you enjoy them.
