Glycemic index and glycemic load

Has anyone used this to keep track of what you are eating. I am a diabetic and having highs and lows like crazy. Needing advice on a good place to find info or an app someone uses to help calculate.

Simpler just to track carbohydrates with MFP, that will get 80% of the benefit for 20% of the effort.0
