Hey everyone...I need some advice. So I just started working out. I was on a machine and selected the cardio program that tells u your
target heart weight. I was wondering however if the machine set my heart rate too low. I am very obese (temporarily) and not that I am trying to over work myself, There was burning on my legs which is a good sign but there was no sweat. So I am wondering if the HR was too low. It seemed like a low impact cardio workout. If there is anyone that could give me any good advice it would be greatly appreciated. The HR target was automatically set at 120. I just want to sweat so I'll feel like I am working out. So am I trying to do too much too fast?

  • I brought one of the fitness watch and look at what my max heart rate is(180). I try to keep a heart rate zone of 4.0 to 4.5. That about 150 to 165 BPM. I notice that it starts getting painful around 170. I have been working out for a while and I try to go for high impact. Research what heart rate zone you should be in order to achieve your goals.

First Google "sweat equals fat loss myth".

Then Google "heart rate zone myth".

Then Google "rate of perceived exertion" for a better way to measure cardio intensity.

Keep in mind you don't need any cardio at all to burn fat - you just need be in a calorie deficit. Google that term if it's new to you. :+1:
