Gained weight but losing inches?

Firstly, i'll apologise for the bad english, not a native speaker! :neutral_face:
Last year i successfully lost weight from 75kg to 67kg in half a year.. (mainly from IBS and eating lesser).. i'm 5'7 btw.

I quickly gained back all the weight plus more over the months and reached my peak weight of 82kg!!!! It's the highest weight i ever had as i often range around 70 kg...
So i tried losing weight but dieting but not below 1200 calories and lost till 77kg in 3 months.

And i decided that i want to lose weight by exercising lightly but i didn't eat clean. After the first month i gained 2-3kg (i was 80kg again). I was feeling bad about it but people commented that i had lost weight so i didn't thought too much of it.

But yesterday night i stepped up the scale, i am 83kg right now!!!! How is it possible?
I've been exercising lightly and lessen my carbs intake. Everyone comments that i lost alot weight off my belly, my clothes fit better, my muffin top is almost gone and i lost inches all over. Basically everyone could see i lost weight.

P.s If it helps, my body shape is a inverted triangle, i gained all my weight on the top and i gain muscle fairly fast. I only do home workouts, not at the gym. My friend said it could be water weight as my double chin is still there.
