Do men and women retain the same.amount of water weight from eating high sodium food? Eating pizza.for sure.spikes my weight but not my husbands

Everyone is different. I've seen a few people posting here that are eating much higher than normal amounts of sodium because of a medical issue. Those people probably don't retain much water at all from something like pizza. Another factor is the percentage of your overall weight that you're retaining in water. If, like me, your husband outmasses you by quite a bit, a 2 pound gain is going to be a lot more noticeable to you than to your husband. His metabolism is also higher so his body probably flushes it out faster than yours.

Thanks. My husband actually weighs about 30 pounds less than me. It could also be an overall sodium count for the.whole day.

Something else to consider... it's not so much the pizza that spikes your water weight, it's the increase in carbs and sodium (primarily). If your husband is accustomed to higher carb/sodium intakes, it may not be an increase for him like it is for you.
