Can't seem to do it!

So I started off my weight loss journey around 2 years ago and was weighing 14 stone I dropped the first half stone really easily and it has never went back, I think my body was becoming too uncomfortable at that stage)
I continued to lose weight slowly and was bouncing up and down between 12.7 and 13 stone. I have stuck around the 12.7 mark for around a year and a bit and can drop it quickly but as soon as I get to 12 it's like I have a block and just can't do it, I start the eating again and can't resist temptation and of course it quickly creeps up to 12.7 again..

Was wondering if anyone is going through the same thing? Or had the same problem before I can't work out what I'm doing, I know I can get into the 11 stone bracket but I just haven't done it so far!
Any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Nope, never had this problem.

What is your maintenance caloric needs, how big of a deficit do you do, are you cutting out foods you love from your diet (which I assume you are since you say you "can't resist temptation")?

Figure out your maintenance calorie needs, eat no more than 20% below that mark, eat any foods you like, and you will lose weight. If you use MFP method then log and eat back at least 50% of the calories given.

Do you weigh and log your food?

    If no - do it.
If yes - make sure you are doing it correctly and eating at a deficit consistently.

All of my "stalls" or "plateaus" have simply been eating at or above maintenance. You'd be surprised how quickly just grabbing a taste of this or that can add up to a lot of calories over time.

Your first two days I looked at were over. Tighten up your logging.

In ten days I checked, you went more than 2500 calories over your goal. If you're set to losing a pound a week, half of that is being negated by the red numbers, and that's not assuming that you're eating more than you think (which, if you aren't weighing/measuring your food, is most likely happening as well).

Agree with better logging. You eat out a lot (this is fine, but much harder to track intake properly if it makes up the bulk of your eating), you sometimes use generic recipes, your intake is very inconsistent. Be consistent so you can see the trends, log properly so you can know whether your intake is high or low enough.

Thank you everyone I really do need to tighten up a bit! It's bit difficult as I don't actualy buy in my own food or cook for myself atm just because of my situation( I'm a nanny for another family) however this week I will be returning home and I will 100% be taking on board all your info plus I'll be investing in an accurate food scale as many people say this is the best way to track accurately! I need to do this for me ☺️
