Real Bike vs. Stationary

I have seen this argument on countless websites so many times and I think its ridiculous!
Maybe I am just weird, but I feel like I am accomplishing nothing on a stationary bike. I ride my normal bike about 20 miles a day in about an hour and 40 minutes, and I feel GREAT.

It wasn't until I got a HRM that I realized how much better of a workout (higher HR, higher calorie burn) I was getting on the road (or trails) than I was on a stationary bike. Plus I get into my anaerobic zone more frequently on a real bike - there is nothing on a stationary bike that compares to a real hill in real life IMO! Absolutely no comparison. However, I do find that spinning classeds during the winter do keep me in good cycling form for spring, so the stationary bikes do have their uses.0
