What's your tipple?

I'm doing better than ever this year at not letting my eating plan go to pot over the holiday season. However, there are some social events coming up, and being an introvert, I know I'll get much more out of them if I can have a drink or two to loosen me up.

I'm planning to drink pints of rum and diet coke, or gin and light tonic, since I could nurse those as long as my usual tipple, which is real ale. I'm wondering which drinks have the best alcohol to calorie ratio. Do any of you have a go-to alcoholic beverage of choice?

Guinness, Jagermeister and Irish Car Bombs are my weakness. I could easily allow myself to consume a few days worth of calories in a matter of a few hours. So now i save them for very special occasions.

The last time i went to a social event with alcohol i discovered that i really like cranberry juice and whipped vodka, i find the cranberry to be very tart so i diluted it a bit with diet sprite. I wasn't counting calories that night but someone else estimated that i was saving 1000's of calories with the switch and was able to drink all night instead of cutting myself off early. So that's my new go to drink.

I bank my calories so I can drink craft beer on the weekends.

When I drink I go for vodka and diet. 1 oz of vodka is about 60 cals. How caloric your drink is will of course depend on how many ounces of booze are poured in it. 1 oz is a pretty weak drink, imo.

Oh they'll be doubles. Or triples. I plan on doing this properly. :-)

I'd usually bank some calories for beers too, but won't really be able to this year. I'll be happy to be able to eat at maintenance for the week. Or just limit the damage.

I like white wine, scotch whisky, and cheap beer (NOT at the same time, lol). In my experience, I can have "enough" for my satisfaction of any of those for under 300 calories.

A 150ml glass of wine, an American sized bottle of "lite" beer (smaller than a pint), or an over-poured shot of whisky (or most any spirit, typically, choose low/no cal mixers if you like cocktails) all clock in around 100 calories.
