What size were you and how much did you weigh?
I am 5'2 and weigh 180 and wear a 13 in juniors and a 14 in women's. I wear both juniors and women's. Juniors fit me better because of how I'm shaped. What size were you at which weight? I want to know approximately how much I would have to weigh to get into certain pant sizes. Go from a size 0 to a size 14 if you can please. For example:

Size 0/00 : 100 pounds.
Size 1/2 : 105 pounds.
Size 3/4 : 110 pounds.
Etc.
Whatever it was for you. Thank you!

I am 5'8" and started out very large so probably won't be of much help to you at all...but for the sake of data, here goes

307 lb I wore mostly size 22 and 3X. Some jeans I needed size 24.
270 lb I wore size 22 and 2X. Could rarely get into a 20 ever. Went from 22 to 18.
    235 lb I wore size 18 and 1X.
    200 lb I wore size 16 and 1X.
190 lb I wore size 14 and XL.
180 lb I wore size 12 or juniors 13 and L or XL.
Right now I weigh 169 lb and wear size 10 or juniors 11, and M or L depending on the style and brand.

I'm 5'8" and started out 172lbs and size 12. Now 160lbs and between 8/10/12's. I like certain jeans and pants to be big so it's nice to not have to donate the bigger stuff. If I reach my goal weight of 145, that may change.

5'6", 194 pounds, and I bought two pairs of size 16 jeans today for work. This is from 248 and size 22. Tops I've gone from 2X to XL.

Don't focus on this weight being this size. Body type also plays a huge factor. Someone at your height and weight could wear two sizes larger than you due to how they carry the weight.

    170 - size 12
    180 - size 14
    190 - size 16

okay so i'll give you two breakdowns. one is when i had less muscle mass. i am 5'5" now.

    first (less muscle mass):

    180 size 14
    155 size 12
    145 size 10
    135-140ish size 8

more recently (lots of muscle mass):

    235 size 20
    220 size 18
200 sizes 14-16 *started putting on the muscle mass @ this point
    185 size 12
    175 size 10
165ish size 8 ( I am currently about 170, having a hard time making anything fit since my quads are big from powerlifting and my waist is proportionally small--size 12/14 thighs, size 8-10 waist, wear a medium in exercise shorts & bottoms that are loose on thighs & generally a large or medium in shirts).

Are you exercising? If so that will make all of this irrelevant. For example, before I started working out, my highest weight was 191 and I took a 16-18. I am 5'4.5". Now, I got up to 198, and was still at 12-14 because I have been exercising. There is a lot more than weight to consider.

As kelly_e_montana's experience shows, an individual's LBM is going to show you that all sorts of people can weigh the same, yet wear very different pant sizes.

I'm 5'6", ~136/138 lbs, not sure on pants size, as I'm drowning in my too big pants until I can replenish my wardrobe--27 waist, 36 hips--whatever size pants that is, maybe a 4?

    - 198 lbs - 16-18
    - 175 - can't remember, I think 16 still
    - 150 - 12-14
    - 145 - 10
    - 135 - 8
    - 124 - 4

MyBodyGallery is good for these kinds of comparisons

You should probably ask about waist and hip measurements not just weight because people can be shaped pretty differently at the same weight.

    I'm 5'4".
My starting weight was 179 lbs. I was an apple shape. My waist was 40.5" and my hips were 40" at that weight. I started buying stretchy or maternity pants several years ago because my hips were in a much smaller clothing size than my waist. I usually wore women's size M or a size 8-10 maternity pants at that weight. If I wore regular pants, I would have had to wear something like a women's size 16 or 18 for my waist and they would have been super baggy in the butt, hips and legs on me. Horrible.
At 168 lbs my waist is 2 3/4" smaller and my hips are 1 1/2" smaller than at my starting weight. I'm still wearing the same pants comfortably because I bought pants that fit my hip size. I expect to be able to wear these same stretchy/maternity pants a long time because I don't expect my hips to get too much smaller.

Wow I don't know where some people on here buy their clothes. Vanity sizes are here. When I was in high school 30 years ago I weighed 117 and I wore a size 7.
I still can't get into anything smaller than a 14 in jeans right now and I weigh 156. In pants (maybe because they are not as stiff as jeans) I can get into a 12. I have a small frame and a fairly small waist - I'm a pear shape. I can fit a 12 over my hips in jeans but I can't button them, so I know it's not my hips and thighs.
Size is just a number and boy have they changed over the years.

    I am 5" .5". I started at 199 lbs and was in a snug size 16.

I am now at 141.4 and my size 12 jeans are getting pretty loose. I could probably go to a 10 now.

I do agree about sizes changing. I weighed 170 lb back in 1989 (LOL) when I was 13 and at that time, I needed a size 14. Now at basically the same weight, 169 lb, I can wear a 10 pants or jeans almost anywhere unless it's unusually low rise.

Although maybe you should try some different brands and cuts, perhaps. 14 at 156 lb seems a little unusual compared to all of the other responses in this thread and others. Not saying cave to the vanity sizing, but I bet you would find other sizes that work for you because of the cut.

Yeah, new sizing system as of 2011 or so. My "benchmark" jeans from 10 years ago are a size 6. They are a good 2-3 inches smaller than my current size 6 jeans (same brand, same store, basic boot cut jean from Kmart).

Contrast that with my high school size 9 or 11 (junior's sizing) jeans (early 1990's). I was a good 10+ pounds lighter and much slimmer than I am today (~5'6, 122-125lbs then).

Sizing system changes make thrift store/vintage clothing shopping very interesting. Can't shop by number in those stores.

yep, vanity sizing is dumb. i'm around 107 now at age 40. i was around the same weight in high school. back then i wore a size 6. now i'm a size 2. my guess is that i have more fat on my 40 year old body at this weight than i did at 18, so the size 6 might have even been an 8 back then in my current shape. based on more current sizes, i know my current size and my size at my highest weight. not sure about the in betweens though. it gets fuzzy.

    140 (highest weight) - 12, bordering on 14
    107ish - mostly size 2, sometimes 4

I'm 5'4" and an extreme pear shape. my sizes are not typical at all based on what i've seen.

I was bordering on a size 14 at only 140 pounds. It is unusual, but it's based on mostly banana republic sizing which is pretty standard right now. that's just how my body is. i have wide hips.

    110 lbs was a 1/2
    125 lbs was 3/4
140 lbs now and an squeezing in a 5/6. Realistically I could go up another size but I don't want to. Hence why I'm on this site.

I buy almost all my clothes second-hand, so I am probably dealing with the "old"sizing. My XL and L camisoles are too big, so I went and bought new ones in M.

    180 lbs size 16/18
    155 lbs size 14/12

I have some 14's that are really big and a size 12 skirt that is wearable, but not comfortable.

I'm 5'11 and I've been various weights over a 4 year span, here's what I remember. (all sizes in US, womens)

190+ (couldn't bring myself to get on the scale): VERY TIGHT 14 (40DD)
    180: Size 14
    170: Size 12
    160: Size 10 (34DDD)
    155: Size 8 (34DD)
    150: Size 6 (34D)
    143: Size 4 (32DD)

Shirt size went from XL to a Small. I gain and lose weight very distributed - no part gets heavier over the other.

I think the huge size difference between 160 & 150 was that I was working out more and my body shape was different than when I was heavier. I have no data south of 143, but for me a size 4 wasn't attractive. I liked what I looked like at a size 8, I have 10 pounds to go. Even though I have a pair of Gap Jeans in a 6 that I LOVED. I may be convinced to try and make them fit again once I get to where I think I should be.

5'5" and have been teetering between sizes 0 and 8 in pant sizes:

112-119 lbs: between a size 0 and 2; i would be able to literally slip a size 2 jean off my hips without unbuttoning it, however a size 0 was a big snug but i was able to button it.
120-129 lbs: once again, still between a 0 and 2 but not able to slide the size 2 off of me. still needed a belt. would not have been able to squeeze into a true size 0 though.
    ~129-135 lbs: 2-4
    ~136-145 lbs: 4-6
    ~146-156 lbs: 6-8

    as far as shirt sizes:
    115-130 SM
    131-140 MD
    141-156 MD/LG
