Eating 2 times a day.

I am a 20 years old female that has lost 26 of 90 pounds to lose.

My main question is how many others eat twice a day? This is how I've always eaten and I have never felt deprived or too full. I'll have a brunch at 11 then dinner at 6. Times may vary but time between meals does not. I'm not doing any fad diet, it's just how my appetite has always been. If you plan it right, it's "healthy" in a sense. I also would like to know people's thought on this too.

Timing doesn't matter, caloric deficit does. Do what works for you.

Yep, meal time is irrelevant to weight loss. All you need is a caloric deficit.

Congrats on your weight loss thus far!

I personally tend to eat 4+ times a day, but only because I am actually hungry that often. Twice a day actually sounds great, it would save me a lot of prepping and planning.

Neither your health or your weight loss depend on when you eat. If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you'll lose weight. If you eat enough nutritious foods to meet your RDA's and protein goal, you'll be healthy (all things being equal, of course).

The 2 Meal Day is rare for me. I graze more often than I do big meals, but if it works for you, that is what you ought to do.

There is no single correct way to lose. :)

This is essentially the premise of intermittent fasting (which I love!). Do what works for you :)

I eat the same way. Breakfast around 8 am and then a huge lunch around 2-3 pm. I like to eat a lot at a sitting to feel satisfied.

I eat pretty often throughout the day. That works for me. If eating twice a day works for you, you're getting your calories in, and you aren't feeling deprived, that works for you! No issue with either way. Do what works best for you. :)

I'll have a coffee or diet mtn dew for breakfast. Then a 600 calorie sandwich at lunch and then a 1500 calorie dinner at 8 ish.

This works well for me especially if I want to get down another 5 pounds and maintain for a week or two. Eating a good breakfast of about 700 calories by 9 am is important in my case but as others have stated everyone is different. Not eating after 5 pm is helpful personally.

I have found eating only 2x a day works great for me.

I typically eat twice a day, though it's not a hard and fast rule.

During the week it's usually lunch around 2:00 and dinner around 8:30. On the weekends it's usually breakfast around 10-11:00 and dinner around 7:00.

But again, that's typical not mandatory. Weekends, especially, may vary a lot.

I've been eating twice a day since I got those Invisalign invisible braces. I used to snack a lot throughout the day before getting them, but since you can only have the Invisalign out for two hours a day and I don't want to brush my teeth a million times after every little snack, two large meals a day has been working very well for me.

I usually eat a big lunch at around 1PM before going in to work and then a big dinner again at about 11PM when I get home and have been losing weight steadily without any issues.

FWIW, in Tudor times, eating more than twice a day was considered gluttonous unless you were doing manual labor.

I think it is up to the person. I would be a raging beast if I only ate 2 times per day. I don't think I would even want to be around myself. So I am best if I eat small meals and then snacks through out the day. If it works for you and you are getting what you need nutritionally than I don't see the harm.

Thanks for replying everyone. When I said the times between doesn't change I meant that its a habit for me to eat a few hours later. Meal timing was always a ridiculous idea to me. But if that's the mindset that keeps you on track, then kudos to you!

i only eat about two times i day. i feel like i don't get full enough when i eat smaller meals so i like to have two big ones :) i'm the type of person that is still frackin' hungry after a breakfast of toast and peanut butter or some kind of small snack so i just don't even bother with breakfast or snacks anymore.

I was never a breakfast person. Breakfast was never a thing in my family. And even though that was the case, missing that meal was not the cause of my past weight problems. Breakfast to me is a habit for some people. It works for some, and it may never work with others aka me. :)

I don't do breakfast, besides mah coffee. Gotta have mah coffee. I get up around 7 and don't usually have my first meal until 1 or 2. I guess it's an extended fasting scenario? Whatever floats your boat and gets you to the other bank! I tried to force breakfast for a while and just wound up eating myself into a hole. Seemed like it just opened the floodgates and I couldn't get a hold of it once they were opened.

What your doing in a round about way is 16:8 fasting. Fast for 16 hours, and eat in a 8 hour window. It is a very popular woe
