Do you consider how much weight the person giving advice has lost?
Does it matter?

Yes I do. Lot's of people want to tell me their ideas and fads on how they lose weight, but then I see them and they haven't lost anything and are stuffing high caloric foods down their faces. I don't tell anyone what to do either, if they ask me, I tell them my food and exercise plan!0

It matters to me, too. And for some reason I feel like it shouldn't.0

It's hard to respect someone's opinion if they have some theoretical knowledge, but are incapable of applying it themselves. You want to know the fruits of such advice, and you look to the person for that. You aren't going to take financial advice or stock tips from someone who is broke or in debt right? If they have such good advice, they wouldn't be broke. Same goes for fitness.0
