Period + Sick=Weight Gain?

I've been having an excellent experience with losing weight so far. I started out at 183, tried to exercise without dieting and gained weight. Then I got serious. I've been at this since march.

I got down to 165 (after a workout Friday) and bounced back to 166 when the water retention returned (which is normal for me). But it seems like ever since Sunday I have gained 2 lbs of my weight back, and it doesn't seem to be coming off quickly.

I started a new birth control pill (at the beginning of May) and experienced the longest plateau I've ever had during this weight loss journey. Then spotting and bleeding and mood swings and increased appetite (which I controlled fairly well), I FINALLY STARTED LOSING AGAIN, once I was on the "sugar" pills of the pack. Then the menstrual headaches began, which I took Motrin for because its the only thing that works for me.

Is this or has this happened to anyone else? Seriously, I'm getting concerned because I'm hovering back at my plateau weight 168 and my goal is 155!
