My trainer recommended I take vitamin C with every meal to aid in fat loss. Anyone else hear of this or tried it?

    Never, ever heard this.

Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables.

I have never heard of it for weight loss either.

I have been hearing a lot on the news and online about the health benefits of vitamin c. So now i take it daily and plan to eventually take a lot more of it as long as it doesn't upset my stomach.

If you take in more Vitamin C than your body requires, it rids itself of the excess. Excess vitamin C will not be used for anything by your body. It will be excreted.

If you want expensive urine, go for it. Otherwise, save your money. See your doctor for advice about what supplements you need.

The day I find a trainer who isn't spouting off BS they aren't even qualified to spout in the first place, I'll hire them. I need help designing an exercise program! That's what I need! I don't need some ding-dong who says people should eat massive amounts of protein they don't need. I can get that in fitness magazines, if I want. If I want nutrition advice, I'm going to someone who is qualified to give it!

It's very hard to find a trainer who specializes in exercise, lol. At least around here. After the holidays, I'm calling a Sports Medicine guy for a recommendation.

Get a new trainer. It will not aid in fat loss. Nothing will except using more calories than you consume.
