Hi all :flowerforyou:

I'm looking to connect with those who are spouses of a law enforcement officers or who can relate. (Maybe there's some type of a group out there I'm not aware of?)

I thought it might be good for us all to connect since having a loved one in this profession is definitely not a walk in the park! I'm very proud of my hubby and all he does, and I'm also very independent and have always been. We don't have any kids, just an amazing doggy  , but the long hours and completely opposite schedules can be rough and takes some adjusting! He's been working 12 hour night shifts for almost 2 years now and its still depressing for me...

Anyway...its always great to have people out there who could provide some encouragement, motivation, advice, etc.. so even if you're just looking for a friend and aren't in the LEO family.. I'm cool with that too! I'm pretty active on here and still have about 15lbs to lose.. and I love to run!

Ok enough rambling- hope to hear from some of you!

    Hey!
Neither me or my girlfriend are law enforcement officers, although she does work in a hospital. I'm just coming by to say Hello and tell you what a wonderful person you are. It's my dream to be in the services, whether it be the fire or police and I can only imagine how hard it is for you. It really does take a strong person to be able to be with someone who spends so much time at their job. I'm not so good at it myself or being independent but I'm learning and growing.

Thanks- you're so sweet! That really made me feel good. :)

If you want to be in law enforcement go for it.. you're totally capable! I can imagine what it is like for you with your gf working in the hospital. If she's a nurse, I know they work the same hours as law enforcement.

Both my ex and me worked constant shifts. I was a midwife and he is a police officer and we had two babies as well. It took it's toll on us unfortunately but we are still good friends and work around eachother quite well with childcare etc. ... so although we are in different situations I do know how hard it is having a partner who is constantly working unsociable hours! Feel free to add me :)

Hello , our stories sound VERY Similiar.. My boyfriend of two years is a Deputy Sheriff and we Also have a fur baby ( dog ) lol .. A relationship with an officer can at times be VERY trying.. It really does take someone who is independent and can function on there own whether it be Weekends, Holidays, Ect.

I found it VERY Challenging at first but have fell into the schedule quite nicely now.. He started out on Patrol and now has moved to Detective. While he was in Patrol we NEVER seen eachother. I tried to keep myself busy, but sometimes the Negative Mind-set would sit in.. Our relationship consisted of text Messages and the occasional day he would take off. It was HARD but it was worth it in the end. The change has been welcomed because we now have the same schedule with the exception of all the O.T he picks up !!

It is nice because he is a constant motivator on my weight loss Journey .. He loves to stay in shape and works out like a maniac !! If you would like you can Add me Its nice to have friends that understand the LE life..
