Hello all.

I just got here and I am trying to set up to do some workouts from bodybuilding.com. I am working on a plan for a keto diet and I wanted to know if anyone could point me to a list of foods and their calorie counts. I am getting a scale next week and I also am trying to find a list that gives calorie counts for various cooking methods. As an example, 4oz fried chicken breast vs. 4oz baked chicken breast, etc.

I intend to prepare food as simply as possible, but since I won't be able to use too many supplements (price is an issue), then my diet is critical.

Thanks in advance for any help you may provide.

Try using MFP's database for different preparations, i.e. search for 'baked chicken' or 'fried chicken'.

Good luck on the keto diet. I tried it years ago and though it was great for losing weight quickly, it was not sustainable for me. What's worked for me this time was eating what I normally eat but in moderation and balance.

If you're going to fry chicken you can weight the oil before and after and figure out the difference. That is the oil that is now in the chicken and those calories should be counted.

You can create custom entries after you figure out what recipes you are using.
