Hello,
I've been on and off MFP for years, its always been great knowing it's there and getting me back on track when I need it. This time I would love some support and encouragement and would love to offer my support also.
Lately I've been a bit low and stopped looking after myself, and as a result my weight has increased, and my fitness depleted. So it's time to get back in control!
I am an avid surfer, I've been surfing for 2 years, and try to go at least 2 or 3 times a week. However, I am struggling with some of the really basic stuff (like carving & pop-ups) because of my in-flexibility. I have a surf trip in 2 weeks! I really want to work my butt off and overcome some of my fitness challenges! So any fitness tips for surf strength would be greatly appreciated!
Wishing you the best on your journey!

Hi, I kinda sorta am. I was taught how by a Woman's champion surfer but I still fall as soon as I stand up. I will stay up in 2015. I bought a GoPro to mount on a board and it'd be silly to do that if I keep falling off!
I googled surfer workout last Summer and found lots of great ideas. One good one is do pop-ups anywhere, even without a board. Do 'em in the living room while you're watching TV.
Have fun on your surf trip!0
