Tracking liquids

Hello to everyone. Just started reading through the web site, and would like to know if it is important to track low- or no-calorie liquid intake such as water, 0-calorie soft drinks, coffee, etc. Some diets (Atkins for example) stress liquids for their benefits as well as their assistance in cleansing the insides. Thanks for any thoughts or assistance.

I track my water, only because it helps me to remember to drink enough.0

I don't track my water, but I know I drink plenty of it and just watch the colour of my pee.
Do you need eight glasses of water a day?
