This might be a long shot. I have a growth hormone deficiency and my muscle tone in my belly seems to never improve. I think I read somewhere that it is hard to gain more muscle with this problem. I also seem to go through periods where I hold a lot of water in. I don't add a lot of salt to my foods really. I was wondering if there is anyone else out there with a Growth Hormone deficiency and if they have the same issues with the water weight and the belly fat.

I don't. However I do believe this to be true. My son is short and had a pot belly. He takes growth hormone shots every night. . Talk to your endocrinolgist to see if there's anything you can do to help with your weight loss efforts.

Thank you for your insight. My dr. told me the only way they really treat it is with hormones though shots. I am having fatigue issues too and she told me that it was probably from my low growth hormone. I told her that when I was younger my parents were given the option for me to take the hormones and when told about the side effects decided not to. She asked what I wanted to do. I told her I will just try to nap a little more because I don't want to put that stuff into my body.
