Hi Everyone,
I am new to the fitbit and myfitness pal. I got a fitbit flex for Christmas and started both things together. I have the myfitness pal app and fitbit app. I logged my exercise into the myfitnesspal webiste on my laptop. Now on my myfitnesspal app its doubling what I burned off and my time. is it taking the exercise off the fitbit and what I logged onto the myfitnesspal website and combining them? And the calories I have left for the day are way off on my fitnesspal app and on their website. I am confused. Do I stick to the app only? Or the computer? I have been logging my water and food through my fitness pal app but I did add one thing through the website Whats the best way? Thanks for your help.
Jenna

MFP has a Fitbit Users Group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users

I log food & drink in the MFP app, never the website. (Love the barcode scanner!)

Don't log any step-based activity—Fitbit is tracking it for you. I log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) in Fitbit, not MFP.

Ignore your Fitbit calorie goal and follow MFP's, eating back your Fitbit adjustments.

JennaMarie... editorgrrl hit the nail right on the head. Management everything through MFP and only enter non-stepped based activity like lifting weights, cycling/spin, etc... Regardless of whether you enter into the app or via computer, everything should sync up.

    Good luck! All the best!!

I have been doing the same thing
My Fitness Pal gets all of my food & water information
Fit Bit gets my exercise, weight, & measurements.
This seems to get me the best results. Calorie goals between the two systems, at least for me, have been close enough to call them the same.

I'll also echo fbref9 (and the invitation is open to anyone reading this)
