Restaurant Eating

Tomorrow night I am meeting a friend for dinner at a sports bar. I've already looked at the menu and decided on a small side salad (romaine lettuce, red onion, tomato and I'll ask for the cheese and dressing on the side so I can actually measure the amounts). So I feel OK about that, but french fries are my weakness! I am not going to deprive myself or I will fail, but how do you know exactly what you are consuming in those instances? Unless they give me all nutritional info (which I doubt) how would you log this? Thanks!

Make your best guess. It is the daily and weekly consistency that counts -- not one meal.
    Enjoy your dinner.

You don't need to, especially if this is an unusual event. Estimate their quality and size vs. that of your favorite fast food fries, log that nutritional info, and move on.

Besides, even nutritional labels are only 90% accurate!
