There are some really interesting things on this list, and I love the pics they included.

Some of those Taco Bell creations look amazing, especially the one from India!

Anyone outside the USA ever tried some of these?

I was totally taken aback when I had to PAY extra for condiments in some parts of Europe - Haha, I'd taken my free ketchup for granted...

    Lol, funny story.
In the 80's I moved to an island out in the Pacific (Saipan). There was only one "fast food" restaurant (KFC). Here's the funny part............the chickens were live in the back of the store.

Did you know there are over 100 flavors of Kit Kats in Japan? Some sound yummy like green apple but some are just plain weird like Baked Potato or Cherry Blossom (not kidding).

If you can't get similar stuff here, you can always make it. Nothing here looks THAT difficult. Plus, my hamburger bun doesn't need squid ink... LOL

Japan definitely has some different stuff, I wasn't too impressed with the squid ink lol.

    But 100 different kitkats?! Whoa.

I always see green tea Kit Kats whenever I go to Asian grocery stores downtown.

The only fast food places outside of the US I've tried were McDonalds and Pizza Hut in Mexico. The pizza left a lot to be desired, but I loved the fries down there. The muffin palomita sounds adorable and most of the pizzas look tasty.

My daughter got several of them for Christmas off of Amazon. One is taro (purple potato) flavored!

I have had green tea Kit Kats from Japan and they were SO good. Also orange Kit Kats and mint Kit Kats. Yummy. I think those were from the UK temporarily sold in the USA. I wish we had all of the different flavors...regular Kit Kats are boring to me after getting to try the different ones!

Yeah, those green tea ones I want to try so badly. At least we have peanut butter oreos right now.

Think I'm going to go on Amazon or ebay and order the assortment of 18 flavors of Japanese Kit Kats. Not so sure about wasabi flavor though.

Omg 100 flavors of Kit Kats? *drool*

I love the potato wedges you can buy at McDonald's in France instead of fries. Well... loved. Last time I had those 3 years ago, it wasn't as good as I remembered. Actually, McDonald's in France is just way better overall anyway, they regularly have 'limited edition' burgers, sometimes they even change every day for a week... it was kinda fun to eat there! Of course some were not great, but some were delicious.

Those chili cheese nuggets though... nom. And the choco crunchwrap OMG. Doesn't look hard to make though. Hmmm...

I think it's because the French palate is more refined in general than the American palate, and the warmed swill McD's puts out here wouldn't fly in France.

Nah, 90% of what they sell is the same and tastes just the same over there.

They actually have Quick too, which is a European fast food chain a lot like McDonald's, and they have their own limited edition sandwiches too... And I hear that Burger King is back, after closing for 15 years or something there.

You can get beer in Burger King in Spain.

As for refined European palates, they eat Quick in Belgium. It's still deep fried crud, but damnitt, it ain't American crud!

Edit - someone above has already mentioned Quick.

    Yeah, she's on.

I had a couple things in Rio de Janeiro that I miss, aside from the above mentioned bombardiers, there was also these little chicken croquettes in the shape of ice cream cones.

    Super legit.

Beer and burgers, though from McDonalds/BK is a pale imitation of what they could be, is still a wonderful combination.

They don't trust us with San Miguel in Macdonalds in the UK. We can throw soggy gherkins and fries around rolling on the floor just fine, without booze.

I'm not a big beer drinker, so that's not a big deal to me. I would love to try some of those pizzas they listed though, makes the Pizza Hut and Dominos pizza here look pretty plain!

There's a bakery around these parts in little Portugal that's open 24 hours on the weekends, i used to go there on my way back from the bar and get a couple of those chicken croquettes for the journey home. Soooo good. Clearly before I started losing weight.

Pizza Hut UK is a very different experience.
-Specialty toppings, like goat cheese, rocket (arugula), King prawns, spinach, Bechamel sauce, etc.
-Difference sides: Bacon garlic bread, Popcorn shrimp, Cheesy triangles
-Roasted vegetable pasta (vegetarian. there's no vegetarian pasta at US Pizza Hut grrr)
    -Salmon pasta bake
    -Unlimited ice cream
-Basically a completely different dessert menu
    -Alcohol (beer/cider, wine)
    -Milkshakes

The Mcdonald's poutine is a slap in the face to actual poutine.

It's the WORST. The gravy is weird and the whole thing is so salty. Although I'm really not a fan of McDonald's fries to begin with.

Well to be fair, speaking of pizza, in France we had more topping options as well... seafood, goat cheese, salmon, egg/ham/cheese, lettuce, gorgonzola... '4 cheeses' pizza over there in pretty much any restaurant will have some gorgonzola in it, something I miss dearly here (but I make my own when I want that). One of my favorite chains there used to have a pizza with lettuce and fresh goat cheese... it was delicious. Their pizzas actually clock in at 700-900 calories each too, which is really reasonable for a one person pizza...

    And now I want pizza.

I did when I was there in 2008. Don't know if that has changed, though.
