I've been doing dumbbell bench press as part of my routine, 3 sets of 10 reps (or to failure). I can do 2 x 10 and 1 x8 with 25lb dumbbells. Today I upped to 30lb dumbbells and managed 2 x 6 and 1 x 5.
Should I drop the weight back down until I can do all 3 sets of 10 (at 25lbs) or keeping pushing with 30 lbs? I want to challenge myself but I don't know if I am doing myself a disservice by being able to complete so few reps.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

There is nothing wrong with doing 5-6 reps0

Rule of thumb: When you increase weight, you decrease reps.
It comes down to your goals. If getting stronger is a goal, then going for heavier sets with fewer reps is what you want to do.
You can't get too strong when trying to lift for 10+ reps.0
