I make my own Hummus that's a variation on this recipe: Engine-2-hummus.

Very low calorie, and I use it in the veggie wraps that I make for lunch.

I like to use salsa. I'm not a fan of it, but you may like it - baba ganoush, it's made with roasted eggplant. I like to mix a few tbls of tahini with lemon juice and water. Great for dipping baby carrots, also great as a salad dressing. I've also made hummus without the chickpeas but using zucchini.

Do you like mustard? I love dipping veggies in stone ground dijon, but there are LOTS of gourmet flavors out there. Typically 15cals a tablespoon.

I feel ya on the greek yogurt....that stuff is VILE. I cant stand the way it coats my mouth and leaves it feeling.......waxy?

A coworker of mine would use low fat sour cream and french onion soup mix

just mix the two and u have a low cal dip...she would crush the soup mix before adding it to the sour cream

I find that just adding a tablespoon of mayo to the greek yogurt makes a huge difference in dips like ranch. Hummus is great too and you can make many different flavors.

I tried the cottage cheese in a spinach dip it was great too.

Today I steamed some turnips and made a dipping sauce using:

    1 tbsp barbeque sauce
    1 tbsp honey mustard
    1 dash srriacha

Was about 60 calories and made an otherwise boring bowl of turnips pretty good
