Input all your data into MFP and it will give you your number.
Yes you can lose and be in a deficit without exercising.

Your body burns a certain number of calories every day doing everyday tasks. This number is different for everyone, but you can get an estimate of yours through a TDEE calculator (like this one: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/). Eating less than this number will give you a calorie deficit and should allow you to lose weight.

Yes, you can have a calorie deficit without exercising.

There are a couple of different ways to calculate how much to eat. One way is to plug your numbers into the TDEE calculator above and eat about 500 calories less (to lose 1 pound per week). Another way is to plug your numbers into MFP and eat the amount they suggest.

I really like this topic for explaining how to set up your calorie targets more in depth: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/819055/setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets

According to your profile, you're an 18-year-old male who wants to lose 20 lbs. Go to http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided and set your goal for .5 lb. per week.

Your calorie goal will have your deficit built in. You can lose weight without exercise, but you'll be healthier if you do.

Caloric deficits are acheivable without exercise but it obviously means cutting out a lot more food. At my weight, a hard 1.5mi run takes 11¾ minutes, I burn nearly 200 calories. Thus, I can eat these 200 calories back without affecting my progress. These 200 calories can be used to fufill nutrition requirements I cannot meet without them.
Without exercise, there will be a point where you have to make a meal plan to get all your nutrients (esp. Iron) and that's just no fun.
If you won't adhere to a meal plan, exercise can be your path eating goodies.
